Hi, TEDx’ers!
Most beautiful celebration just few days away, we want to introduce you to additional 4 speakers and mentors who add up to the final TEDxKids@Vilnius | Day in a Future School program (you can still register, find registration link below):
Along with the short TEDx talks, our speaker, "security executive by day, cyber hero by night" Ben Halpert and TEDxKids@Vilnius host Marcus Orlovsky will be giving longer, deep-dive masterclasses. While Marcus will be talking about creativity in education, Ben will leave parents and educators with the understanding of how to talk to kids about the latest issues facing children in cyberspace including sexting, bullying, strangers, and screen time balance.
FINAL TEDxKids@Vilnius | Day in a Future School Program
TEDxKids@Vilnius | Day in a Future School kids’ workshops
Gever Tulley | tinkering workshop: a software engineer, Gever Tulley is the co-founder of the Tinkering School, a week-long camp where lucky kids get to play with their very own power tools. He's interested in helping kids learn how to build, solve problems, use new materials and hack old ones for new purposes. At the workshop Gever presents an opportunity to practice the art of tinkering. There is a whole world of possibilities hidden away in the most unexpected materials. Kids will play with small electric motors and see what wonders we can discover.
Ritik Mehta | 3D printing workshop: the workshop will teach kids how to make 3D designs so they can start exploring the world of 3d printing. Ritik is going to teach kids the basics and they will get to make their own keychain using the tools they learned earlier.
Peter Madsen | thermal airship building workshop: together with Peter, who is submarine builder, aerospace engineer and space enthusiast, kids will get to build large thermal airships and fly them inside the Arts Printing House -- how cool is that!
Simas Janulis | molecular gastronomy workshop: there’s no better combination as being a scientist and a foody at the same time. At Simas’ workshop kids will learn how to combine science, fun and cooking -- all during the sweet molecular gastronomy workshop.
Tomas Dobrovolskis | music workshop: kids will play percussion instruments, sing, improvise, create musical compositions and conduct their friends. All about rhythm and percussion, as well as team building, creativity and fun!
AND you can still register! We had some people, who changed their minds and won’t be able to join: we have their seats open and hope that you will join us!
